With first look this tripod appears to be a nice one. I found that it is not. It is aluminium with plastic parts not a bad weight. The leg locks are just fine they interlock and seem to be ok, The head is not too bad, it has a level on it and all the standard adjustments and they are just ok. However here is the issue that I have with the tripod. Without extending the center rod upwards the standard tipod height is 47 inches, which is just shy for almost any filming with a video camera or taking any pictures with your camera. You will have to extend the center rod, thats ok even on my high end tripod I use the center rod ocassionally. But here is the issue it will not saty up is goes right back down even with a light camera, to make it stay you have have to try to wedge the crank handle up and catch on the rod itself and it wont stay for long, it is the design not a problem with this paticular tripod. So to remedy this you have to get one of thos small stretch straps the mini ones about 6 inches long with the little hooks on it to strap the crank handle up to the rod. Anyway it will than work fine. if you can get it cheap enough it will work but I think I will put this in the yard sell stuff.Read full review
I just LOVE this tripod! - It's not too heavy yet sturdy - Reaches good height - Quality is pretty good - Reasonable price (great value for the price) - Comes with an extra head so you can use 2 cameras without detaching from the head each time - Has 2 fluid/bubble levels - Has spiked feet for outdoor terrain (can also turn to regular feet by adjustment) - One of my favorite features - the head has a built in handle attached to the screw so you can attach and detach your camera without effort (without looking for a key/coin to tighten/loosen the screw) - Easy to use I don't have many cons: - Crank handle doesn't really fold properly (doesn't always stay in place when folded, it just kind of hangs). It could have been made better. - The general quality could have been better but for the price it's totally worth it. - Some tripods come with an included bag/case and some don't. Bottom line: Totally worth buying!Read full review
i have about 12 of the 7500 series and that has been discontinued. it was a much bigger, thicker, stronger and smoother motion tripod. this one is good for recording static scenes but if it requires constant motion then there maybe a jiggle to it as the smoothness is not as smooth as the other models. great for non motion scenes. not too great for constant motion scenes involving left to right and up and down/diagonal motions.

For the price it's great. looked brand new and everything worked just fine. Setup was a piece of cake. Great tripod for a medium weight camera, spotting scope, camcorder, or just about anything you want on a sturdy stand.
