To compare it to wd40 or its full name of water displacer formula 40, its like using a terrible product that has mind blowing advertisements and presence in the market of Mr and Mrs average, compared to a product that sells its self, great penetrative oil on rust and seized parts, great water displacer over a very very long period of time, like 3 to 6 months in the British weather, dielectric cleaner and proximity lubricant, as a cleaner and degreaser, it also sticks around to lubricate, what's surprising is how little you need, so it's efficient, cheaper the wd40, it does not have silicone, doesn't have ptfe or graphite, but been using it since tech college which it was supplied and lasted ALOT longer than any other make, been using it at every place I worked ( consultant and contractor) which they then continued to us, its a must try, if you use it you shall know, only once I know of someone that did not like it, that's because the guy was a fan boy of wd40, everyone else just called him out, as it was obvious, if needed I shall use wurth as a alternative but it's way way more expensive than duck oil, like you can buy double duck oil, that's in the can format, not 5 litre of a bargain, the only down side is people even in 2019 laugh or a flummoxed when they hear duck oil, like its made from ducks or something, then again, I was one that thought it was hilarious, quack quacks, a rant all to so try it, best in the 5 litre with a free sprayer,Read full review

If you like WD40 but think it’s too thin and temporary, then duck oil is the answer. I spray it on all the boat moving parts over the winter and at the start of the season. This price is good too. I think you need a special spray bottle. I have used old spray bottles but they seem to get clogged. There is one specifically for duck oil. I just bought one.

After testig this stuff out in spray form, I thought it better to buy a larger can as its better value for money. This is a great price, cheapest on ebay and on the web i could find. Very good quality oil, which i use with the spray bottle provided, at specific suspension points on my old car to stops suspension squeaks. Not a lot is required and as its a little thicker than WD40, so it stays where its required for longer. After this has been sprayed, I'll put a drop or 2 of a heavy engine oil (10w 40) over the same area, with an oil can. Also much safer on rubber components than the likes of WD40, which can eat away at older rubber. Although I'm sure it would loosen nuts and bolt etc that's not what i use it for.

Not for oiling your duck but great for many other things !! Fantastic product, I have used WD40 etc on occasions but falls well short of this stuff. It cleans, frees and protects, excellent.
