I loved "The Sword and the Scimitar" by David Ball and found all 777 pages to be engaging, enjoyable and erudite. The story-telling is setons to none and is rooted in the true history of the Seige of Malta in 1565. The characters are well defined and I learned a lot about warfare in the 16th Century and the trials and tribulations of the Maltese people and the Knights of the Order of St John. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it. The book was as described and delivery was prompt.
