This DVD does not disappoint, with comprehensive dissections of the lyrics from the mind of the mad-capped genius. It spans from the beginning of the pink floyd sound till that lonely walk back to cambridge, but without losing sight of the music like other studies of the legend tend to do. Alot of the other titles like 'The pink floyd and syd barrett' story tend to use LSD as a safety net to blame his untimely demise, but this DVD touches on the fact that, like alot of other things in life, this was mainly due to media hype and it may be lonliness and paranoid behaviour bought on by ecessive cannibis use that bought it about. This DVD likes to focus on his later solo work from his albums, and welcomes interviews from barrett experts of past and present. All in all a fine study of a true english genius 4/5Read full review
Like - non-floyd folks opinions dislike - some floyd folk maybe easing their conscience love - the interpretation of some of syd'd songs; and the recognition that some of them are timeless classics (but never got the publicity). I bought it because i wanted to understand more about the man behind the music; now i've watched it, i'm reading a book about the man. Nevertheless, i'll always love the music.
