This is an affectionate look at the making of Magical Mystery Tour, with contributions from former Beatles people, some of the bus party, and local people who came into contact with the Beatles one way or another. They all have stories to tell. Photos and home movie footage are included. The DVD has no new input from the surviving Beatles, but this means that it is an independent review of a project which caused quite a stir where it was filmed, and allowed many people to get closer to the band than they expected. No original music by the Beatles is involved, only (creditable) cover versions by uncredited musicians.

Introduced by Victor Spinetti who appeared in the fab four's film "Help" this documentary is a real "Mish mash",and only the most dedicated Beatles fan would probably be interested. Others such as Mike McCartney,Tony Barrow, and Spencer Davis relay some of their memories of the movie, and the documentary contains black and white footage which has been seen many times on other Beatles documentaries. There are small extracts of actual Beatles music from the film and after one of the longest 60 minutes I can remember at the end you are really no clearer about why the film was made?,Who appeared in it?,etc, etc so in my humble opinion only for Beatles fanatics.
AN EXCELLENT LOOK INTO THE JOURNEY OF THE THE FAB FOUR AND THE WAY THEY GOT INTO THE MUSICAL HISORY BOOKS IF YOUR A BEATLES FAN THEN ITS A MUST HAVE
