Where do I start with this other than it is a great introduction to a Fantastic Hard Rock Band, not only is the twin guitar sound of Robertson and Gorham superb throughout but also the charismatic Phil Lynott's classic song writing is all there. The album starts with the Bob Segar cover "Rosalie" to other live favourites of the time period such as "For those who love to live" & "Wild One". Lynott was brilliant at writing songs with social commentary such as "Kings Revenge" and my personal favourite "Freedom Song". The title track "Fighting my Way Back" in these current times should be a national anthem and played on our radio stations on a daily basis. I can honestly say there is not a bad track on this album - "Suicide", "Spirit Slips Away" and "Ballad of a Hard Man" are all brilliant especially the wonderful "Silver Dollar". I implore you to buy and play it until your CD Player blows.Read full review
