I bought this book, having followed the "Mail" Supplements regarding it. To be honest, whilst it made interesting reading, I did not find it particularly inspiring nor attractive. It was more of the same and I deemed that what it advised was not going to be very practical nor worthwhile for me. As I have a lot of weight to lose, I thought that I should return to my old hunting ground of "Slimming World" principles. The practical real prospect of eating foods that were "free" and a few additional daily treats were much more helpful although I felt I had to explore the book and its plan before I could criticise it or make a balanced decision. I would say that for a single person, it could work well: whereby someone could turn this plan into their project and go for it...but for me, as wife and mother to a hungry brood, I should have felt deprived and left out of the pleasure of mealtimes. Perhaps in another lifestyle this would be appropriate. Too, maybe if I had a little weight to lose or just to eat generally healthy for five days and eat sparsely for two, it would be fine...but for a serious lover of food and a very culinary person, it wasn't the plan for me. Thank you.Read full review

The book "The 2 Day Diet" is a book that I heard of on a TV news show. I had already heard of another two day diet plan, but the one outlined in this book is far better and much easier to follow - once you get your head around the fact that you will not die of starvation. My wife and I are both losing weight, and at the same time our appitite has decreased which makes it even easier. Great book and highly recomended!!
Simple rules to follow. well written and encouraging.
