Although the book does come up with some new recipes that you don't get in the actual diet book, but I noticed a number of the recipes were variations of recipes in the book.

I bought both the fast metabolism diet book and then the fast metabolism cookbook. I followed the diet for four weeks and lost just over a stone (18 pounds), plus (big plus in my house) my husband and kids loved the recipes. It does involve a lot of cooking, but I do quite a bit of cooking anyway so made no difference to me. The recipes are incredibly delicious and I like the fact that you can bulk cook, often using the slow cooker, freezer bag portions for later consumtion, so cooking is minimised. Personally, being quite a big eater (I really love my grub) I loved the fact that you get to eat a lot of food on the diet. I like to feel full! I use these recipes a lot when I'm not following the diet strictly, just because they're so tasty. The coconut chicken curry is excellent (I sometimes swap for quorn) Well done Haylie Pomroy... after I tried every diet under the sun over the last twenty-odd years, this one worked! Happy to be a size 12/14 again - I'll do it for another month soon to get down to a size 12. I am eating these recipies several days a week, and so far since losing the weight, I haven't gained any back. I would highly recommend it.Read full review
Some very nice recipes, but as i eat a resonable health diet anyway, i just could'nt manage to eat all the food you were told to. A very expensive diet because you have to eat so much.
