Reviews
4 stars out of 5 -- "'Green Fields'...is one of the loveliest moments in the Albarn canon. He effortlessly links the personal and political while giving the heartstrings a nudge.", Ranked #05 in Q's "The 50 Best Albums Of 2007" -- "A revelation, as tracks such as 'Herculean' and 'Green Fields' took listeners on a haunting, dub-tinged journey...", 4 stars out of 5 -- "Albarn's told a powerful tale of darkness endured and hope regained, outshining almost everything he's done before.", 4 stars out of 5 -- "The eclectic elements combine for dark, muted balladry a la Syd Barrett or the Beatles' White Album, with a touch of dub.", 3 stars out of 5 -- "The energy, urgency and ambition are admirable....Albarn's feel for the secret heart of pop remains thankfully intact.", "Good Is Comparable in Spirit to the Everything-Is-In-Play Feel of Clash Albums like Sandinista!"

Service was ok, not great. Record was very sloppily packaged and they screwed up my address -- luckily the post office figured it out no thanks to the seller. The record was cheap and the shipping was free so it's hard to complain, but I definitely wouldn't recommend anyone buying expensive items from this seller.

Very well packaged and in the as described condition too. I’m so happy with it and would come back for more if I can. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this seller and the very fast and well packaged items too. I would go back for more as I said but at the moment I don’t have the space !! Perfect addition to any collection !!!

  • Damon has done it again...

Between preparing the new album by Blur and the Gorillaz next musical extravaganza, Damon Albarn has found the time to team up with Paul Simonon (ex-bass player in The Clash), Simon Tong (former guitarist in The Verve) and Fela Kuti's drummer Tony Allen and release the self-titled The good, the bad and the queen. It's not a record filled with catchy songs as Blur or Gorillaz might be, instead this one creates a moody, somewhat melancholic, atmosphere. Listen to it a few times and you'll see it sinks in.

  • Good The Bad and The Queen

After listening to the two Gorillaz albums it would be a crime not to try this one. Not one for Britney fans, it is nice and laid-back, intelligent and musically superb. Definitely an album to put on a high quality system. In fact, the bass is so low you need a good system to hear it at its best. Hasn't got the immediate impact of Damon Albarn's two previous albums but grows on you and is never boring. With all the Indie cloning happening on the music scene at the moment, Albarn seems the only person looking forward and this is well worth a listen. Steve

  • Good the bad and the Excellent

I have to admit i'm slightly bias where it comes to Damon Albarn since The so called Brit pop battle, Blur were the outstanding of the Bands for me...anyone can plagorize (Oasis style) but very few have the depth and passion to be consistant in diversity, this album is yet another example of excellence and cant wait for the next Londoners project x

  • Takes Time!

You really have to give this a few listens but as you do the more you hear glimpes of brilliance. I love all of Damon Albarns work but this does feel quite dark, and to me, even more 'urban' than the Gorillaz. But if you like the Gorillaz youll love this.
