Excellent no-nonsense up-to-date science about nutrition, completely breaking free from the tired old NHS advice that has been telling us to fill a third of our plate with starch since the war. Really easy to follow recipes, each with just a few ingredients, so a book that I actually use and am learning a lot of basic skills from. Very popular with my partner; I fed him on these recipes for his main meal each day for four weeks and he lost half a stone in time for a wedding. Please note though, this is the American version so if you are in the UK you may prefer the version that has grams and ml instead of cups and pounds / ounces.
