It's John Julius Norwich again. He's one of the pre-eminent historians penning great reads like the Byzantine Empire Trilogy, The Middle Sea, etc. Here, he gives a lesson in Papal church history. Not as involved as Chaimberlain's "The Bad Popes", but not intended to be. Norwich is an octogenarian and still pumping out classic history. My copy was signed, making it all the more special.
