Even better than the excellent TV series! More than worth the read!
I bought 3 Cadfael Omnibus books at the same time. This one is the second in the series and I am enjoying it every bit as much as the first Cadfael Omnibus I have just read. Ellis Peters is an engaging story teller whose books are difficult to put down. Many years ago I greatly enjoyed watching the Brother Cadfael series on the television staring Derek Jacobi. Great as that was, I prefer reading the books.I bought 3 Cadfael Omnibus books at the same time. This one is the second in the series and I am enjoying it every bit as much as the first Cadfael Omnibus I have just read. A well written book with lots of twists and turns.
This is the follow on book from the the first omnibus stories. I did not buy this book for myself but for my 100 year old father. Since receiving this book he has not put it down.
