Loving this book, Alison Weir has a light touch with the historical facts and it isn't difficult to follow. It is a serious read, you have to think the way they thought back then, with religion a top priority for the soul and women were meant to be completely obedient to their fathers first, then their husbands. I can't imagine a 20th century woman lasting more than a week in that environment before having a complete meltdown!! Its fascinating to see and hear through the historical records the voices of those making the decisions, and perhaps with the recent ''Wolf Hall'' series on tv, it's a little easier to read this book and see them with your minds eye in the Tudor gardens, halls and palaces, playing their games and wearing the beautiful outfits, and being in procession. I am loving this book!Read full review
