This book was sold as used, but it turned up in perfect condition. I've read a small amount of the book so far and it's been very informative. I would highly recommend this book for anyone who has dealings with someone with any sort of personality disorder. In the UK we do not use the term sociopath or other labels, rather they are all out under the condition, personality disorder. This book is a compelling read and will help the majority of people understand and make sense of abuse they've suffered at the hands of Thier sociopath. I would highly recommend.

I found this book very informative. I think it bridges a gap between Hollywoods ideas of sociopathic behaviour and the day to day reality of that disorder. It also discribes the difference between the psychopath and sociopath - none. It's just a transatlantic difference. Martha Stout is a clinical psychologist who worked at Harvard for 25 years, and it's that level of knowledge that gives this book real punch. It's truly insightful. If you're into this read up about narcicssism, which is also well worthwhile, as the two conditions narcissism and sociopathy share some commonality. You will not look at the world in the same way again. Promise.
