I bought this machine to get back into sewing after a 20+ year break and I was not disappointed. I have sewn knitted jersey, silky material, cotton and heavy upholstery material with this so far and it has sailed through. I did buy extra feet and needles appropriate to what I was doing but it worked well. It was easy to thread and use and, although it doesn't do fancy stuff, it does everything I need it to. The double needle function is available for jeans etc., but not yet used. All in all I am well pleased with this lightweight wee workhorse!!!!!!

The machine can sew through many laters of fabric and also thin sofa/seat leather. It is easy to take apart and clean out any fibres that build up. It has a moulded in handle with is balanced making it feel safe to carry. It is quet and not deafening to use. I bought a new LED buld and this is easy to change and gives good light on your sewing. It works great with moon thread and is no problem to tension. You can pick these up for around £50-60 and they are not worn out or jamming or lost the accuracy. Spares are available. There are simple controls that an idiot like me can work out easily. It has a battery powered bobbin winder which is separate from the other workings of the machine and does not require being plugged in. Check and change needles frequently and clean out fibres and it runs great. A tough robust reliable simple sewing machine.Read full review
