The next car in my collection that I must sell with great reluctance. I rallied TRs cars 50+ years ago, but am too old and infirm to be able to justify keeping Seaton, as he is called, as of late I have been only doing 100miles between MOTs.
I bought Seaton from a Welsh engineer 15 years ago. He had owned the car for 15 years and had rebuilt it from 1982-4 using parts from 2 other TRs. He built it to race, but then never raced it. So I bought it in race trim:
no bumpers, GRP wings and aprons, 2138cc engine with 4-2-1 exhaust, oil cooler, Kenlow fan, Konis and roll cage. I removed spoiler and fitted bumpers, leaving the cage in place. It unbolts,( if you like danger) and the hood and hard-top fit over it snugly.
The Welsh engineer claimed a top speed of 135, but I have only had 110 indicated ; still plenty left. Seaton runs fine on premium fuel with recommended additive. No problems there. Horn and indicators relocated on dash.
If you' must have concourse or excellence', don't bid ! But if you are 'ain't broke - dont fix' bloke' maybe for you. Seaton has always been very reliable. I will happily drive him anywhere on the UK mainland. Drives very straight.
Extras include: RECENT PROFESSIONAL REPAINT. FACTORY HARD TOP THAT FITS. SET OF 5 48 SPOKE WIRE WHEELS, CONNECTORS AND SPINNERS 10 EXCELLENT GOODYEARS.
TONNEAU HOOD AND FRAME FRAME COVER FRONT SPOILER (not fitted) S/S EXHAUST HAYNES MANUAL FULL TOOL KIT STARTING HANDLE
PERIOD SEAT BELTS (I have found fine always) DRIVER'S HANDBOOK. MANY SPARES. SCREEN WASHERS HEATER THAT WORKS! OVERDRIVE 2/3/4th
REAR OCCASIONAL SEATS. 11 MONTHS MOT AND TAX JUST TUNED RACING MIRRORS HEADLAMP CAGES. WHEEL RIM EMBELLISHERS (VERY RARE)
TAILORED TR3A WATERPROOF CAR COVER. REAR FOG LAMPS ANTI-ROLL BAR 28 YEARS MOTS EXCELLENT OIL PRESSURE NEW SIDE SCREENS
Faults: The carpets are scruffy as is the dash covering, (but all seats recovered). Fuel gauge faulty. Some road dirt as the car has been on the road for the last 28 years, but only 12k miles Note: Photos with h/t and wires on were taken 3/4 years ago when the colour was Jaguar Racing Green. All others very recent. Few small paint bubbles n/s rear wing. SEATON WAS REBUILT NOT RESTORED.! Mileage is the reading on the clock, not guaranteed from new. The stone guards were not fitted
professionally (=annealing), but by me.
V5C is in my name at my address. He is a local car with a valuable number (estimate £4k). I have the addresses of the first two owners and have met the second and given him a ride !) Seaton is NOT perfect. But pretty good.

Two points I forgot to enter on the details. The spare wheel cover has been blanked, to create a deep boot: not rocket science to put back if you don't like it.
The information is to the best of my knowledge and memory. Some info is from the previous owner who I had no reason to disbelieve.

In answer to more questions: I have driven Seaton 5,700 miles in 15 years: the guy I bought from did approx the same in 13 years according to the mots.
The chassis no. is TS28+++ and the engine is a factory rebuilt TR, number TS 9++ FR
