I really enjoyed this book. It was a gentle amble back to my childhood and the author writes so well, her descriptions are so well written. Thoroughly enjoyable from beginning to end.

What a bore! The only reason I read it, was because it was my book club's choice. I ended up searching out the dialogue, so that I could read it in record time. Couldn't make head nor tail of the plot (which is another reason I stuck it to the end, to find out 'who dunnit'. To no avail.) My life is too short to read rubbish like this.

Borrowed and read The Trouble with Goats and Sheep by Joanna Cannon . Loved it some much that decided to buy this and her next book. Got a great deal at eBay.

Really enjoyed this book, life in the street as seen through a child's innocent eyes. However, things are not quite as innocent when it comes to the residents of the street. Secrets seem to be rife, until Mrs Creasy goes missing & the secrets begin to be revealed.
