The grabber works great and Windows automatically installs it. The copy programme not great though so I used it with OBS which is freely downloadable from their official sight. Easy to use with video instruction on YouTube

This was easy enough to install. Had problems initially with a loud buzz and hardly any other sound. However this was not a problem in a different usb port on my lap top (mine has three, 2 one side 1 the other which worked). I think the picture quality could have been better but I am unsure by how much as one always loses some quality in transfer from a pvr which already has compression I assume and some quality limitation. The finsl dvd picture was watchable though on the computer its displayed only as 4by3 format and not 16by 9 and with the few other coding option there is a lot of confusion. My main problem with the soft wear is that it was not possible to simply edit adverts etc out of the copies as one can do with a dvd hdd recorder. With this soft wear any editing involves further slow recopying within the computer which definitly seemed to lose further quality. Still might be useful in some instances.Read full review

The video is a bit jerky, although connected to USB3.0 port. The S-Video port has some twisted image in the top portion of the captured video, with the analog RCA plugs there is none, therefore the "lower quality" connection offers better picture. The sound is as good as it can get, though. The software is not easy to setup, I use Win 7 and didn't manage to get it working, as I installed the contents of the disc and the result was that it disabled my antivirus software protections completely, and I couldn't turn them back on. Therefore it's the basic chinese software, install anything off them, and you're infected with at least some malicious code. Installed another driver for the device, and I'm using another free software to do the encoding. Works somewhat OK.

Not easy to use! I plugged it in and all I got was audio and a second of video, my cables are working fine because I can play my Xbox through them. When I used the capture card the Xbox screen showed on the preview then flickered on and off majority of the time it is a black screen with Xbox audio playing. Atleast it does one thing and captures audio! But this was not what I expected when I purchased the item! not a good producti it was a waste of money unfortunately. After researching around the web at this product it turns out there are a lot of fake capture cards for sale and I think I might of purchased one. Wouldn't reccomend this product.

It was installed and running in a couple of minutes. The software seems pretty intuitive to use, although I have not explored all the functionality. I do have a concern, and that is that the unit runs quite warm. I would not expect a USB powered adapter like this to dissipate so much heat. I bought it to connect a 24/7 security camera, so leaving it unattended for long periods could be a worry about overheating.
