I bought the blender for my partner. Christmas gone diet time. Bowls of good nourishing soup, big bowls of nourishing soup, diet? Anyway she pops her ingredients into a pan and heats them up. When ready, off the job and in goes the blender. Can only use for a minute at a time, but a minute is long enough to blend the soup to how you like it. Disconnect the head, a quick rinse and leave to clean later. Obviously it's as good as how you dice your ingredients. One happy soup filled recipient.

I bought this based on the fact it came apart for cleaning and was a reasonable price. Otherwise I assumed all stick blenders were much the same. This is hopeless, I started using it for soup and after a few minutes of it doing virtually nothing I found myself inspecting it to check there was actually a blade in it. There was a blade but unfortunately the blade is tiny , to the point of being useless. It couldnt blend a pan of tomato soup so I don't have hope it will tackle much else. Waste of money, regret buying it.

I bought this to purée food to start weaning my daughter and it’s perfect. 2 speed settings and pulse option means it can be completely smooth or I can leave texture. The blade removes easily for cleaning. Good simple hand blender.
