My Variant has been in storage for the last 8 years. I haven't had anywhere to garage it since then which is why it been sitting on my parents farm. The carson roof comes off and the side windows have been removed and welded over on the doors, i have added side windows that are attached to the roof but it isn't 100% waterproof hence the need for being stored under cover.
Photos 3 and 4 were taken 8 years ago (just to show the original paint job and the roof removed) the others were taken the other day (i didn't have chance to wash the mud off). The body work it reasonable solid (only the pasenger door has a rust hole)
The engine has only done about 500 miles since a rebuild and has bigger carbs added and a 4 pipe exhaust, however it may well be siezed now (i haven't had time to add a battery and turn it over). Also the rear brakes are siezed (blow torch and hammer required) and the back tyres flat. I don't have the time to sort these problems out but i am loathed to scrap it as i know it was a good car that had a lot of work put into it.
The rear seats have been removed and replaced by a big flat area that goes to the back of the car. The paint is matte black, which is really good for patching up with a spray can as you don't see the join from old to new paint.
I have added strobe lights to the headlights, interior lights and under car lighting, etc etc. The racing/bucket seats upholstery is a bit gone. The drivers door pops open with a soleniod and remote (which i can't find, sorry). There is the missing moon disc in the back of the car i think.
Feel free to contact me with questions. I could get the car running but time wasters have put me off doing this so its sold as seen or as for parts (but i'd rather not see that). Pick up a deal!
I've rung DVLA about the SORN notice and thats no problem. The road tax is out but applying for a free one for a classic vehicle is easy.
Collection will need to be with a car trailer unless you want to unsieze the rear brakes.

UPDATE- I have been working on the car this weekend and cleaned it up a bit and taken some more photos (roof off/engine/interior etc), i have also checked THE PISTONS MOVE OK and aren't siezed. I did discover that a coupe of leads/rubber pipes have been eaten though my mice. I can't find the battery.
The body work it reasonable solid for being stored for so long (only the pasenger door has a small
rust hole) but you are better of to inspect for yourself.
I haven't checked the strobe lights still work. The Recaro racing/bucket seats need a couple springs replaced under the drivers seat. The
drivers door pops open with a central locking motor and remote (which i can't find,
sorry). There is the missing moon disc that i can't find but the spare tyre is good.
SORN was not invented when this was taken off the road. The road tax ran
out in 1998. Last insured with Herts Insurance.
PHOTOS- i can't remove photos 3 and 4 which were the only ones with the roof removed until i had someone to help me this weekend.
