The first film is about the Hollywood Film industry. The second film is about the music business and was produced by Russ Meyer and although it was obviously made on a tight budget it became a 60s classic. Perhaps both these films appear a bit dated by modern standards but Mike Myers was obviously influenced by the second film when he made Austin Powers.

I had never viewed 'Valley' as I was too young when it was released in a blaze of publicity and bans. What a fascinating insight to the bitchy lives of the beautiful ones; What a wonderful, bitchy, pill-popping time was had by the beautiful people; What a horrible way to live and end your life. See it for yourself - the sets are fantastic, gowns gorgeous, hair high, with a definite lesson in there. I can appreciate it now these days - indeed art imitates life 'Beyond' is NOT a sequel, which was very disappointing. Although interesting and colourful, I found it uncomfortable, never having experienced that side of life. That said, it is a film of life showing strong reasons why no-one should ever dabble with drugs. The colourful jacket invites the assumption that this film is a sequel of the first. This one is a much more gritty and unpleasant look at the drug-fest of the 1970's. Clearly we have not learned much since then - including fashion. The item was quickly sent and arrived in 'mint' condition.Read full review
