The straight tone arm makes it skip way less than the s-shaped tone arms which most turntables use. The ultrapitch facility is also great for practicing scratching. It is solid and heavy so it's very stable too. There is 1 superior model, the vestax pdx 2000, hence this model only gets 4 stars. Also, very occasionally the motor kind of freezes and so the platter judders somewhat. I believe this is a known issue in some instances of this model. I only get this issue occasionally, usually when it's been in use for many hours. Vestax no longer produce these so over time i think their value will increase.

Defiantly a good deck... Good features. Good for scratching. External RCA outputs. Good value. Good features Not built as well as technics. Doesn't sound as good. Sort of on par with technics for scratching. Not as many spares on the market as technics. The feet and tone arm clip always break on these decks. DO NOT BE FOOLED THAT THIS IS BETTER THAN A TECHNICS. IF IT WAS, WHERE ARE ALL THE MODS OUT THERE FOR IT.
