This is an excellent addition to Heiremans's book on Dino Martens. It has a number of pieces illustrated which I have never seen before, despite dealing in Murano glass for many years, and having n extensive library already. As well as having many fine colour phots of rare and unusual pieces, there is a very comprehensive section of archival design drawings of models and their reference numbers which does complete the Martens book in allowing one to see quite a number of Toso model numbers attached to their factory drawings. This, for me is an exciting book, and a valuable source for any collector of Murano art glass.

Top marks to Marc Heiremans for yet another GEM in the continuous unscrambling and clarification of the MURANO PHENOMENON of the 20th Century Venetian art glass production by the various now famous identities and companies. Marc's approach is scholastically brilliant. Marc is a genius in researching and compiling so much relevant and instructive information. The selection of items as illustrated in this book bring the Aureliano Toso blended with Dino Martens magic to life. I do look forward to the possibility that Marc may cast his scholarly curiosity on other as yet unexplored masters such as Alfredo Barbini and Antonio Da Rosa. Best regards, PC.
