I bought a pair of these back when they came out in 1998 but sadly got damaged in a house move, luckily good old ebay I was able to source a pair of mint condition ones. I've tried many speakers over the years these and thier bigger brothers the 701s are by far the best sounding speakers I've ever bought, they are extremely well built and sound flipping awesome, the cones are like a fiber weave construction with solid thick rubber surrounds not the usual foam surrounds like on many speakers, certainly built to last what with now being 21 years old and certainly capable of taking some power, I have mine hooked up to my old Sony power amp and they really pack a punch.

Tiny sealed enclosures with a beautifully built stepped front baffle made of composite plastics. Cabinets are light but well made and need to be on heavy rigid stands. Driven by cyrus gear they are well happy producing a musical fluid and rich (for their size) sound. However very analytical gear will quickly reveal their flaws. Little gems in a nutshell, lots of fun to listen to, image very well indeed, a mission heyday product!

Excellent crystal clear midrange / vocals from these vintage 1980's speakers. These speakers also look great with their retro white front and highly visible "Mission" logo. One drawback is the bass drivers were made with foam which deteriorate over time and eventually need replacing. Luckily kits are widely available for quite cheap, including on Ebay. I believe they also came with a foam front grille which has all but disintegrated on all surviving examples by now! Each speaker also has a removable fuse at the back next to the speaker terminals - a handy protective feature which most modern speakers don't have. The bass isn't too deep for their size, but considering the age of these speakers it's not bad.
A solid set of bookshelf speakers. Nice compact size. Only 75 watt but good full sound and bass, with 2 front ports. Better than some other 100watt speakers I have heard.
