TERMS
All of the products listed for sale in my shop, unless otherwise stated, are period antique & mid-20th century modern collectable and decorative items. I specifically select and carefully source my items to ensure the highest quality specimens are offered for sale with each individual piece undergoing a comprehensive condition assessment. Any damage, imperfections or restoration that should detract from the aesthetic, structure, functional operation, collectable appeal or value to a piece will be documented in the listing’s description, and also be photographed in the item's image gallery. It is commonplace throughout antique & Mid-20th century items for some pieces to exhibit naturally occurring signs of wear and age that is commensurate to the age of the items. These unique characteristics are inclusive of the item’s history and is what makes collecting and displaying antique & Mid-20th century items compelling.
DELIVERY
Great attention is paid to ensure that all items are carefully prepared for delivery and a range of packaging materials are used to safely insulate the item whilst in transit through the delivery process. Fragile items will be double boxed or where appropriate sent in an insulating container. I do not seek to profit from postage charges and the prices I quote for delivery is for the actual cost of the service offered from the carrier.
I offer a range of delivery services depending on how quickly you would like to receive an item. If you are in the United Kingdom and the item weighs under 2kg, I will dispatch the item with Royal Mail. If the item is over 2kg in weight or a larger item, this will then be dispatched with parcel force courier service. Please see the listing for the item to obtain the rates and services I offer.
WORLDWIDE DELIVERY – I offer shipping worldwide on all items and can deliver products listed in my shop anywhere around the world. I offer international shipping that is end-to-end tracked, so that if you are an overseas buyer, you can track your item to your destination country and address as it travels through the delivery network, a signature at your address is also sometimes required. Please see the listing to obtain the services and rates I offer to your country. Alternatively, for a specific quote for international shipping, please contact me through eBay on the link provided in the listing to “contact seller”, and I will email you with the best possible rates and options that are available to your country.
PAYMENT
I accept PayPal, credit and debit card payments. When you purchase an item on eBay, the payment is processed through the eBay checkout service where you will be given the option to pay by PayPal, or credit/debit card, if you don’t have a PayPal account. If you have arranged with me to pick up an item in person, you are welcome to also pay cash in person when collecting the item. Payment is due within 1-3 days from the sale date.
RETURNS
I strive to endeavour to meet the buyer’s satisfaction when a purchase is made; however, if an issue should arise with an order, please contact me so that I can resolve the problem. All items I list for sale in my shop are comprehensively photographed and are described with a condition assessment, dimensions and specification details. Additionally, if you have any questions regarding an item, or would like to request further images of the item, please contact me through the listing. However, in the unlikely event that you do need to return an item, simply contact me and I’ll send you the return address so that you can send the item back. When I receive the item back, I can then process the refund. Refunds cannot be issued without receiving the item back, as per eBay policy.
All returned items must be received in the same condition that they were sent. I am not responsible for the return shipping costs of the item if it has been bought incorrectly, or a mistake has been by the buyer. For example, the item was the wrong colour, size, or no longer required. Please make sure all returned items are well packaged, so as not to be damaged in the post. Please make sure all return packages are sent with a reliable trackable service, as I cannot take responsibility for items damaged or lost in the post when the buyer is returning an item. A refund cannot be issued if I don’t receive the item back. If you are returning an item from outside the UK, overseas internationally, please clearly mark the package 'RETURNED GOODS', to avoid any customs charges. I am not responsible for any return postage or custom charges made from countries outside the UK.

Bauhaus Antiques is the name of my business and I specialise in sourcing items from the Art Nouveau, Art Deco and Mid-Century Modern periods, dealing principally in lighting, furniture, ceramic & glassware, collectable and functional art and design. I am a restoration specialist in several areas and have over 15 years of experience in the antique & mid-20th century trade. All of my products listed are carefully prepared & sanitised to restore the original condition of the item to ensure the aesthetic/item is as good as condition allows.
I am committed to providing a professional level of service and support to my customers to ensure buyers receive satisfaction with their purchases. All product images in the gallery of the listing are shot in a studio environment with a Sony Alpha A7 advanced full frame mirrorless camera for high resolution, professional quality pictures, ensuring to capture the truest of images and the best representation of my products. I previously owned a physical retail premises for my business close to Affleck’s palace on Oldham Street, Manchester city centre that I traded from and was established in 2001, selling specialist antique clothing & vintage homeware, art & design. I now trade online to reach a wider customer base dispatching my products worldwide, and my business is now headquartered in a purpose-built studio where I shoot and restore my products based in Manchester’s northern quarter.
