    Great buy for critical data back up.

    I've found Western Digital HD's to be highly reliable and I've used 1,000's, thousands, of HD's for projects. With PMR technology, WD has increased their HD's data retention dependability. I'm using this drive in a quality Rocket Fish external enclosure for off system critical data back up and portability. Although used and older, SMART and diagnostics show a HD in great shape. Free shipping cinched the deal. Given the size and weight of these HD's, they ship nicely USPS 1st Class in a bubble pack at a low cost.

    well worth the money

    I originally bought this product for replacement parts for an existing HDD that I needed to repair. I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived and I connected it to my computer with a USB adapter and found that, although listed as a "non-functioning" HDD it was usable. I ended up using some data recovery software form the damaged hard drive and used this instead of trying to "frankenstein" a hard drive to get my data. This was a great purchase for me.

    Great hard drive. Well worth the low cost.

    Needed a replacement hard drive for my Gateway laptop. This product worked great right of the box. Set up Fedora Linux as the operating system and it worked great. This was an exact replacement for the original hard drive. I had absolutely no problems installing the drive physically. Also had absolutely now problems putting the operating system on it. Has been purring right along. Great deal.

    Excellent value, Great product, Couldn't ask for more.

    I recently purchased a Western Digital Scorpio 120 GB SATA HDD, I bought it because I purchased a new mother board for my acer aspire 5100 and wasn't paying attention, the original HDD for the pc was a PATA interface so I obviously needed a new drive. The scorpio out-performs most drives I have used in the past and is of great quality, I have absolutely no problems with this device. I have been a pc technician for the past 7(going on 8 in sep.) years and have used many drives, with my limited budget for this project this drive is by far the best for my money.

    Great Product!!!!!

    The drive is quiet and easy to install. I use it to replace a seagate and the data transfer was a snap. I have no problem with it up to this point and recommending it to others.
