Product Information

The Western Digital RE4 hard drive is often used at data centers, commercial grade surveillance systems, web service providers, and other large organizations. The WD RE4-GP is an internal hard drive in the enterprise or RAID class that uses GreenPower technology. The storage capacity on this 3.5-inch (8.9-cm) form factor enterprise hard drive is 2 TB with a cache of 64 MB. The Western Digital RE4 hard drive is environment-friendly with power-conserving technologies like IntelliSeek, IntelliPark, and IntelliPower, which optimize power consumption, conserve energy, and reduce noise and vibration levels. Features like dual processors and SATA 3 Gb/s interface enables the hard drive to have improved performance and data transfer rates. Another feature of this enterprise hard drive is the Rotary Acceleration Feed Forward, which automatically adjusts operations and performance of the drive when it is used in vibration-prone systems, such as in rack-mounted servers. The Western Digital RE4 hard drive goes into idle mode to further reduce power consumption, and the recovery time to activation is less than 1 second. The physical dimensions of this internal hard drive are a height of 1.02 inches (2.59 cm), depth of 5.78 inches (14.68 cm), and width of 4.0 inches (10.16 cm), and it weighs 1.61 lbs (0.73 kg).

    Great value for the money!

    This product works really fine in my NAS from Thecus (N5200). It's running stable with 5 disks of 2TB and I have also a good data throughput.

    Great Item and Great Value for money

    Great Item and Great Value for money but it can be slow to access sometimes so speed can be a bit of a issue
