A really comprehensive look at the lives of this romantic couple. Superbly presented by the Earl of Wessex, it covers their lives together following the Duke's abdication in 1936. Although presented by a member of the Royal Family, it is very sympathetic to their plight and one gets the impression that Prince Edward would have really liked to have known his great-uncle and aunt. All in all a very entertaining and eductional DVD. I would reccomend it to all. John Williams
I enjoyed this documentry very much. It was very interesting to have one of the present queens own sons narrate it. Although I think historians read into the boredom and unhappiness aspect of the Windors life to much. I really think that it is just speculation that they were bored and unhappy...and this should not be put into a serious doumentry. I think they were happy with what they had and if they werent they would have done more. It is rubbish to think that everyone needs duty to be happy! The present queen is in her mid eighties with a heavy work load...I wonder if she ever thinks its ridiculous and longs for relaxation. Leave the Windsors alone they had an enchanted life of pleasure!
