Author Biography
\ Greg Borzo has been biking all his life. Born on the Northwest Side of Chicago, he has lived most of his life in Chicago and is active in many of the city's cultural and biking circles. Greg has a bachelor's degree in Cultural Anthropology from Grinnell College and a master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. In addition to having completed hundreds of freelance gigs, Greg has been a full-time reporter, editor and/or writer at Modern Railroads Magazine, Traffic World, International Thompson Transport Press, The Business Word, American Medical Association, Harcourt Brace, The Field Museum, Momentum Magazine and University of Chicago. An award-winning journalist, Greg is the author of The Windies' City: Chicago's Historical Hidden Treasures (Highlights of Chicago Press, 2006) and The Chicago L (Arcadia Publishing, 2007), a book that covers the history of Chicago's greatest working antique the Elevated Railway. Greg currently works as an independent writer. He is an accomplished public speaker and conducts tours about the L and Chicago history -- on foot, by bike and on the L.
