Bought this to use for LibreELEC HTPC and it works very well, mapped out of the box. I used it to 'teach' my One For All remote using this IR receiver in the HTPC. The IR has good range but requires direct line of sight to function. The remote itself isn't laid out particularly ergonomically but it has all the necessary buttons. I wouldn't want to use it as a main remote, in the sitting room for example, but for occasional use, it's excellent. Fast postage too. Bargain at £5, get one!

A good remote, nice solid build quality (this is the second that I have - the first has been in the lounge for a couple of years - this one is for the bedroom), standard Windows Media Centre RC6 protocols. And works out of the box with MythBuntu 12.04 (a combination of MythTV and Ubuntu). Also worked with 10.04, so will probably work with 16.04 too. Receiver is a bit chunky, but it's not too bit.
