Overall good book. Has brief explanation/description of history and function of underwear. Comparisons between the different form sizes are tabled (for industry/commercial use). Take note that the basic pattern drafting is based on standard dress form measurements, but one page did explain how a few different types of 'standard' sizes affects the posture. The section on the different types of underwire was especially useful. I like the sections on drafting panties and lightly boned shapewear, although the author referred to them as corset (which it really isn't). This book is not for the beginner, as one would need to adapt the measurements to customized patterning. It is, however, a great book on learning how to draft fitted garments with negative ease. My only wish is that they use pictures of real life people instead of dress forms without arms. This book is about pattern drafting, it does not cover construction or the process of assembly.Read full review
