Current slide {CURRENT_SLIDE} of {TOTAL_SLIDES}- Best-selling in Other Keyboards & Pianos
Anyone who has bought a Yamaha Digital piano will know how good these instruments are at reproducing the feel and touch of an acoustic piano action. Further more, people learning to play and indeed all pianists now have the joy of a piano without the expense, size and tuning of the real thing plus of course the headphone facility, which enables silent practice and being able to play whenever you want without fear of disturbing other people. There is one very small disadvantage: After about fifteen years of normal use, the keying action becomes very noisy and annoying. This occurs because the upper and lower felts which cushion the rise and fall of the "hammer" on each keys become hard and compacted. The solution is to replace these two felts. The genuine replacement parts cost approx. £30 in total and there are numerous "Youtube" clips to show you how to do it - it took me about two hours working slowly and carefully. I now have a piano which is as good as it was when I first bought it all those years ago. There cannot be many complex digital electro-mechanical things that cost about £1000 and incur just £30 of maintenance over fifteen years.Read full review

Package arrived quickly in the UK, items are well packaged. I'm using it on a CLP-820. while the lower piece isn't that same as the original which was made from felt, as this one is made from some sort of spongy foam, it works very well and there is very minimal noise on the key return. The upper piece works great too.

These replacement pads were just what my Grandson's Clavinova needed. I thought it would be an all afternoon job and managed to complete it in just a couple of hours. There is a YouTube video that takes the repair step by step; making the job easy. We are happy, happy, happy with the quiet keyboard! Thank you.

Probably a bit pricey for what they, which is self adhesive felt strips, but they are the genuine parts so exactly right size. They made my 18 year old clp120 a bit quieter. I had a loose key I needed to fix - which I did at the same time. Frankly if you need get the keyboard out you might as well change the felts as well.
