Details about  honda cb 250 rs cafe racer

here we have a really fast Honda. engine was in my sons grasstrack bike for about 3 seasons and regularly beat more modern bikes. when he moved up to a different class I took the engine out and put it into this in a rs frame.originally it was running on methanol and ignition was via an interspan spark box.i converted it back to petrol and original Honda ignition for the road. I have tuned and maintained this engine myself and it is ultra reliable due to regular oil changes and  maintenance. it has the following parts inside which I have fitted, alpha crank and crankpin with a carrillo rod fitted and balanced by alpha. new mains wiseco piston and rings skimmed head and barrel. lightened and polished rockers. r.d valve springs and bronze guides. 34 m.m amal carb..polished and ported head. the exhausts were made by nick pavvorroni and were on the original grass bike but I have adapted them to suit this bike. . phil joy racing  cam. ebc clutch plates and extra strong springs hagon shocks,.custom made seat, bates headlamp.new master cylinder. and clip ons and rear sets.bullet proof engine and an absolute blast to ride. sounds great. on sorn atm.was put on a dyno when it was running on methanol and revved to 10500rpm and kicking out about 34bhp.. any questions 07870320354 paul welcome to view in bury st Edmunds deposit of £100 via paypal and rest cash on collection someone asked for more photos so here you go. paintwork is not concours but still looks good.it has taper head stock bearings and handles great. more suited for twisting and turning roads than flat out on a straight road, front wheel spokes are not like new but still o.k. accelerates and goes like a rocket. ive spent a fortune on the engine apart from building it into this bike but it was worth it. bullet proof if you look after it. i.e.regular oil changes!
