Excellent use of photos, and explanations to important concepts are explained in layman's terms. I'm a Mechanical Engineer and found great value in the book - it's not a technical paper or thesis, rather a PRACTICAL Handbook just like the cover says. It's written in a style that's easy to read, with a bit of dry humor in there to keep it engaging. This book goes into greater detail than Carrol Smith's "Tune to Win", and the author has credibility with a LOT of practical experience gained over years of car construction and racing. Most of the pages are now covered in high-lighter, and I've read several chapters repeatedly. Suspension design is a complex topic but Staniforth has done an excellent job of explaining the basics (and complex concepts too!). He's also presented practical approaches to modeling that don't require the use of expensive software or specialist training. I have a lot of books on my library shelf related to car design and construction - this one is among the best and I may wear it out!Read full review
