The Maxxum 7000 is a great autofocus camera for both the beginner and intermediate photographer. In Program mode, it is as simple to use as a point and shoot camera, yet has the flexibility of Maxxums interchangeable lens system. To expand your creative control, you can select Aperture-priority mode (to control background blur), Shutter-priority mode (action pictures) or go completely manual and control both functions. The camera beeps if you are at risk of taking a blurry picture (due to a slow shutter speed) and also to let you know you are in focus. As well, the unit gives visual cues if exposure or focus are out of range.
