This little device does exactly what I expected. The sound level is low, but enough to hear what I record comfortably. Sound quality is quite good for its size. There were no instructions. Two push buttons and a lead that could be plugged in two different ways. However, it's easy enough to figure out. I used it for a game with grandkids - extended the push button lead and pretended there was a hobgoblin hiding in the bushes - worked well.

Depends on your application as to how satisfied you will be with the sound. This is the first of these devices that I have purchased, so I have no basis of comparison. The clarity was pretty decent, but you don't get a whole lot of volume. I presume that that is to be expected for such a simple device and tiny speaker. It's very easy to use. I recorded music and it was plenty good enough to use in a card or a talking toy.

Working to record the sounds of a babbling brook. Can’t seem to find one without the high pitch sound that is still the right sound of water without the annoying white noise. Product works as described but with the first second or two of static.

I Like these because there are two leads on the board I can use a power suppy, removing the round batteries for the power soure. A AA or AAA, double or triple can be used on the boards, Board does not have a bad speaker, but not enough bass for my needs. So I replace the speaker with a 5 watt 4 ohm speak whick allows the board to give more volume and bass to the music or sounds.. Mike M

I loved this, I like to make home made cards and I had never done this before. It worked great and was so easy to use. I would definitely use this again for a future card or project.
