Having seen the series originally on television, and have long known about Michael Kitchen as an excellent actor, he was engaging as the lead actor in Foyle's War along with his female assistant detective. Being a period drama set in WW2 was a bonus and interesting how they were able to play out real situations, but with a lot of artistic licence, as I suspect the real world was totally different, but it allowed one's imagination to go with the flow and was a brilliant series. I haven't yet watched any of the episodes on DVD, but will, I know, like viewing the series once more. It is a series I highly recommend to anyone interested in this period and genre.

First of all it is/was a first class series. Every aspect is excellent. The actual complete collection box set was in premium condition. The owner really looked after it very well. It was absolutely in mint condition and I am truly grateful to have it.The whole experience was most gratifying.
