Frankie Goes To Hollywood's stratospheric success during 1984 was a tough act to follow for the band and various powerhouse characters behind the band such as Trevor Horn. Because of this Liverpool was overshadowed. The music scene in general was particularly vibrant and creative anyway in that period. Over three decades on Liverpool can be seen in a different way and benefits from that. It's not a great or classic album by any means but it does hold up very well and sounds better now than it did then. Worth a punt if you've never heard it.

A truly cracking album that I'd not listened to for years due to a lost vinyl copy, great to get a copy on CD.
