I have had the Michelin foot pump just a few day's now and I used it today,(one of my tyres has a slow leak) The really great thing about this pump is that it screw's directly onto the valve which is brilliant because you then have a very positive and reliable fixing, because it screw's on .. it stay's on ! (ie I have purchased many pump's over the year's with the standard push down clamp type fix to the tyre valve and within a relatively short time they have just let me down. One reviewer mention's quite rightly that when unscrewing the pump from tyre valve it allows some air to be released (a couple of lbs psi ) .... so obviously you just put 2 lbs psi extra in and that solves it !...I am going on a bit, I do realise but it's because I was pleasantly surprised how good it was,(in relation to the standard type) the pump is very well made and sturdy, ...doesnt move when you are pumping the tyres up and I'm just very impressed with it, yes you pay more, but it really is worth it, and it's dead easy to use....yes recommended. Bought this to replace a similar Mich pump. They have changed the valve coupling from a clip on, to a fiddly screw thread attachment. The pump rubber feet have fallen off already. The pump is sturdy and the gauge is accurate compared with my last but attaching it to the trye valve is difficult.

I haven't had this pump for long, so it hasn't been used much yet. I have tried it on one of the car tyres, however, and it seems to be fine. I like the screw-on connector - in fact, this was one of the reasons I chose this particular pump. I've never been happy with the lock-on connectors as they seem to give problems and start leaking after a while. The pump has a professional feel about it and appears to be well made, and I like the non-slip feet. I can't comment about the accuracy of the pressure gauge because, as I mentioned before, the pump has only been used once briefly, just to test it. However, I always use a separate pressure gauge to check the tyres when using a foot pump, so the accuracy of this pump's gauge isn't of great concern to me. It may be fine, though! To summarise, it's a good quality, professional-looking foot pump, as you'd expect from Michelin, and I'd certainly recommend it.Read full review

A few years ago, I went to a local shop to buy a foot pump. I had to choose between a cheaper one which was branded by the shop and a more expensive Michelin pump (exactly this pump). I decided to go with the more expensive Michelin one, because I thought it will be better quality. But I turned out that it is bad quality. The first thing which came up and doesn't really matter was the two plugs at the side where you can lock it in down position. Maybe they are only fitted for packaging and transport and should be discarded by the customer. But why do they then have this little plastic lead with hook. This is surely to make sure you don't loose them. But after a few usages, the little plastic lead was gone. Also the rubber feet are very thin. Two felt off after some usage and the other two got the bottom completely rubbed off and moved up higher onto the metal feet. But most annoying is the very cheap plastic thumb lock valve connector. I was really disappointed when I saw this after unpacking. Even the centre pin is plastic and often got bended and I had to straighten it with a small screw driver. Until the centre pin was damaged beyond repair and I had to buy a new high quality thumb lock valve connector. The original also slipped sometimes from the air hose and had to be fitted again. I've never seen such a cheap thumb lock valve connector. Today, I've changed on my car the winter wheels against the summer wheels and when checking the tyre pressure afterwards, the pump complete broke at the fourth wheel. The metal plate on top of the cylinder below the gauge came off and revealed three small holes underneath. Although Michelin has now released a new pump, I won't by a Michelin pump again. I will now buy the one branded by the shop. The only good thing on this pump was that it came with a wide range of adapters (I think four). So you can also use it to inflate a football or bouncy hopper.Read full review

Was after a replacement for an old Michelin double barrelled foot pump, which has served me well for years. Saw this new analogue Michelin single barrel foot pump. The price was reasonable, well constructed and easy to use. Will do the job well for a couple of PSI loss. But would need to get the battery pump out for a major loss of pressure. Would recommend.
