Very effective and i would 100% recommend this product. I used it in India and it works - saw dead flies on the floor and there is no horrible smell to this product. It lasts for 2 weeks.

This Mosqui-duo looks great and is of good quality. The trouble is, I have taken it on two holidays and twice it failed to perform. Or at least I think it did. The first instance was in Greece. It was early in the season, and due to the wind, which keeps mosquitos away, I was obliged to use it only on one night. I followed the instructions, but was still bitten. I can't say for certain that the MD was the culprit because, having left it to do its stuff for a couple of hours before bed, I unplugged before sleeping (I don't like the idea of being in an air-tight room with the fumes). Perhaps a mosquito sneaked in in the early hours, somehow, and did the business. Who knows. Its second outing was very frustrating. I took it with me to Sardinia, where I was lucky enough to be lent a house by a friend. On the first night, a couple of hours before bed, I went to plug in the MD but found that the plug socket holes stood vertically one above the other, rather than horizontally side by side, which meant that the machine was plugged in sideways. This meant that the wick was not entirely covered by the liquid, and there was no other option. I closed the door and hoped for the best. There were no mosquitos at bedtime, but I couldn't be sure that there had been any to begin with. Every night I did the same thing. The liquid never went down, which led me to believe that although in the the sideways position the machine was heating up, it was somehow unable to evaporate the killer liquid. Furthermore, a week in, I was getting bitten quite badly. Conclusion: the machine definitely didn't work when plugged in sideways on, which means that it is not suitable for every situation. One cannot know in advance how foreign plug sockets will be arranged, so, athough this fancy liquid MD might look the biz, you're probably better off taking the old-fashioned tablet mozzy zapper, is my opinion. My partner wasn't bitten at all. But then, he uses ME as his mosquito-repellant. Happy Holidays!Read full review

We used it in Laos, Cambodia and Thailand, where mosquitos are bad news and never saw one in any of the several bedrooms where we stayed. We took the European version plus an adaptor, but the machine worked in every socket, without needing the adaptor. One small criticism is that the instructions did not say that the pins can be rotated, to allow you to use the machine easily whether the plug has vertical or horizontal holes. We were managing, until one member of hotel staff kindly rotated the pins for us! Will now take this with us everywhere, even where malaria is not an issue, as I hate getting bitten.

At last a mosquito killer which actually works. It is easy to use, lasts a long time (more than 2 weeks) and does not disturb your sleep with awful smells. Highly recommended.

Works well on liquid and solid mats. Do not invert!
