This a great entry-level camera for the beginner photographer. It has the look and feel of a compact DSLR. The LCD is clear and rotates about two axes. It has an 4.6–110.4mm NIKKOR lens (f/2.8–f/5.0) with an impressive 24x times optical zoom which is really useful and provides flexibility. It has the usual P/S/A/M modes, as well as SCENE and Auto modes. The CCD sensor is 1/2.33" (crop factor 5.7) which is pretty small, but if you're just uploading to Insta then this is acceptable. With a bit of work you can get decent bokeh. I find noise creeping in at ISO above 800. I've not used it for video so can't comment on this. My only gripe is that the max shutter time is 8 seconds, so not great for long exposures/astrophotography. All-in-all excellent value for someone looking to try photography away from Auto mode.Read full review

great in full sunlight , otherwise noisy and fuzzy pictures, waste of time if your not a professional and dont have 10 minutes to set up every shot. by the time its ready every one has walked away!

I love this camera. You can just point and click for a good picture, or you can personalise the way you take a photo. The zoom on it is really good. I have taken quite a few shots which have been praised by people, even though I know very little about photography. Well worth getting. I’m glad I got it.
