I cant fault this camera. It is excellent value for money. Capable of all thats demanded of it. Light and compact. I would recommend it to anyone.
I bought this as a recommendation from a friend after my Pentax Optio 60 digital camera died. It is a vast improvement on the Pentax and I have many Panasonic products that are excellent.
i have always liked Panasonic equipment because it is well made easey to use looks good and last a long time and the price is always good
good quality and price very easy to use straight away!it was good value for money at that range of price.compact and looks good.
This was bought to replace an ancient well-worn 10mp version of the same model, which had been dropped on concrete, used and abused all around the world for years. But it still took excellent pictures - I only decided to replace it because the zoom had begun to stick (dirt accummulating in the telescopic mechanism, easily cleared with a fully charged battery and bit of encouragement) the battery compartment door kept popping open of its own accord, and it was getting very pitted and scratched. Folk are now increasingly looking for digital SLRs, but a good compact camera that slips easily into a shirt pocket still suits me for general purposes, especially when you see some of the bulky equipment some people have hanging round their necks. This one gives me all the benefits I had before (anti-shake, good 4x optical and 4x digital zoom, light weight, slim, long battery life, flash, and a good range of modes) plus an increase in picture size if I want it. In fact I find that 5m is a good size for normal pictures. It's not as though I want to print out an image the size of a barn door, and even quite large computer screens can't handle anything of a really high resolution anyway. I tried upping it to 8m for a complete holiday, and couldn't see the difference. Maybe I'm just a peasant. This little camera will do everything I ask of it. I normally set it to 'sport' mode to help eliminate shake (along with the excellent inbuilt image stabilisation). In a dark cathedral, switch off the flash and hold the camera really steady on a pew or something then press the button. Great results. Outdoors, always keep the sun behind you and you won't go wrong. You can even photograph quite fast moving targets (aircraft, racing cars etc) very succesfully, depending how good you are at panning, and provided you don't zoom in too much. I love this gadget, and it's amazing how cheaply you can buy one these days. Suits me. I'd buy another if I lost it.Read full review
