This is a very easy printer to use. Its wireless feature makes it very flexable and works well. Toner can be expensive but only if you do a lot of printing however I have used many recon toners and ther work fine as long as you do not let the printer update its software! The only negative that I have found is that the paper tray sticks out at the bottom and not by a few mm but by nearly 9cm! This has been a broblem for me as the space it sits in is under my desk so I keep putting my feet on it and have consiquently brocken the lid of the tray. I would say that its retail price is steep compared to others but if you get a second hand one, it will probably go on for some year. (cosumables depending)
Bought this as was tired of changing ink cartridges when I only print out in colour occasionally and they would be dry when I came to use them. After researching on the net, finally decided that the Sammy was the way to go, although I originally was going to get the stand alone model, without any of the networking features. Went for the network as was such an amazing bargain. Arrived in good time and was packaged in original manufacturers box. The configuration sheet showed that the toner levels were all around about 95%, so plenty of life left in them for what I use it for. Very easy to set-up in Windows 7 and decided to rejig my home network and move a power line adapter. Now have this printer connected via said adapter and is accessible by both of the laptops that are connected wirelessly and my main computer. Mrs S is very happy as it means she no longer has to unplug her laptop, trawl it up to the office and plug in the printer when she needs to print, she can do it all from the living room. Image quality is excellent. Not micro-fine inkjet printing, but is passable for every day documents. Have yet to try and see what photo quality looks like (if it is indeed possible). Can take a while to print a large document that has colour images or text in it, but am in no rush, so more than happy to wait for it.Read full review
