I really love this cafetiere (aka "French Press") coffeemaker. It's as beautiful as the pictures you see. Such a simple, clean design. The only reason I gave it 4 rather than 5 stars is that the outside of the pot does get hot. If the thermal quality extended to not only keeping the coffee warm for an hour or more but also remaining cool to the touch on the outside of the pot, it would be an unbeatable 5-star product. But, as it is, it's still a great coffee pot and my new go-to in the morning.

But...It doesn't filter the coffee grounds! It is a very nice looking product and good quality but the design doesn't effectively work well! I even put in all of the filters and it still doesn't filter the grounds. Then I tried to slowly pour the coffee out and still had grounds. It's beautiful so I use it for tea. Works well if you just drop the tea bags in there!

Way better than the glass type. We have broken two glass ones and decided to try a stainless steel press for making coffee. The dual screens keep the grounds out of the coffee. This works way better than the glass french press with the single screen. Much easier to clean. Keeps coffee hot longer than the glass press. Overall Way better than a glass press. We hope that we will not need to buy another one for years...unlike the glass press that had to be replaced every year. We found out that the screen is just as expensive as buying a new one and the screen always went after a year. The screen on this press seams to be better built and may last more than a year.

I am very pleased with this! I was so glad that the screen presses all the way down. I don't care for presses that stop half an inch above the bottom. Really nice French press! I won't even say "nice for the price," indicating that I wish I'd splurged on a fancier one. It's just what I want from a stainless French press.

This is exactly what I wanted and what I ordered. Grounds go in the bottom, hot water on top, wait 4 minutes, use the press and you have great coffee. The unit is sturdy, the press is easy to assemble and clean. I got my old one over 20 years ago and was thrilled that it hadn't been "improved" (which usually means cheapened). Very happy with this purchase.
