Blood Omen 2
This was one of those split decision games. I had never played it before, and I was looking for some interesting games to keep me busy. Blood omen 2 did not disappoint. I enjoyed everything, from heated fighting to good interactive ai. I especially enjoyed Kain's reckless attitude. It put a nice spin on things. DISCLAIMER: This game is NOT for kids. It's important that you know that, because although a 6 yr. old might think the fighting part is fun, he's gonna have night terrors for years about a vampire coming to suck his blood long-range from across the room.

Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow
Tom Clancy definitely created the best superhero. Sam Fisher and all his craziness puts Marvel games to shame. The upgrades in this game from the original are astounding. A.I. is more intelligent, but Sam's gadgets are also upgraded. As in every splinter cell game, there is no one route to take. Whether it's a choice to take the stairs or climb the side of the building, or a choice to sneak your way through a darkened hallway, dispatching guards along the way, or to maneuver across on a pipe, you can do it all in this game. Most of the cameras in this game are armored, which means you have to sneak. No cheating on this game. DISCLAIMER: As in every video game, there are things you have to watch out for in the interests of your kids. There is profanity, a subsequent level of violence, and moral code issues like betrayal in this game. Also, you will find that anyone who plays this game for more than a couple hours every day, will start acting weird. Hiding when people come around, turning OFF the lights when coming into the room, that kind of stuff. Like I said, be careful with this game around kids.

MechAssault
This game really disappointed me. It is a pretty old Xbox game, but it wasn't worth the 5 bucks I paid for it. I do enjoy the multiplayer mode, because i can enjoy it with my nephews without having to worry about blood and profanity. The story mode included wayyyyyy too many cut-scenes, and not enough game-play. Also, when the producers of this game wanted to make a particular part of it seem hard, they just put in a mech for you to fight. Not good enough? Let's throw in two, or three!! Original? Not so much. If you do decide to play the sequel of this game, MechAssault 2: Lone Wolf, you'll find that the game developers fixed that, adding some elements not expected from this kind of game, and made it a little more suspenseful and unpredictable. DISCLAIMER: Do not play this game when you are supposed to be operating heavy machinery afterward. Users may find that boredom will drive them toward sleepiness. In all seriousness, this game, although pretty dumb for me, is good for 'Tweens, like 10-12. They are old enough to hear the rare use of language, and young enough not to hate you for buying it for them for christmas.
