Low light specialist
Takes decent pictures under normal conditions, but really comes into its own in low light. At iso 800 or 1600, the photos are sharp, detailed and almost noise free. For available light photography, museums etc where you can't use flash, I would highly recommend this camera. Downside - tiny screen.

Does the job
Put it in your camera. record photos on it. Download the photos. Does the job as well as any other memory card.

The only lens you need?
A bit larger and a lot heavier than the 18-55mm Canon kit lens that comes with most Canon cameras. But, the same aperture at the wide end and 135 gets you in a lot closer. I thought there would be a trade off in picture quality, but I would say the 18-135 is as sharp, if not sharper and produces better colour. Chromatic aberations are present around high contrast borders if you enlarge. I would take the 18-135 over the 18-55 for everyday use in spite of the extra weight and size.
