decent camcorder, excellent analog to digital capture
the sony dcr-trv25 is a decent digital home movie camcorder, not the best in low light situations, but delivers good results in daylight. My favorite feature isn't the video quality, I actually purchased this as an analog to digital converter:
Old video conversion – just connect any analog NTSC video source (like your VCR) to the camcorder’s analog A/V inputs ( including SVHS) and commence recording. Analog NTSC video can also be passed through your camcorder directly into your computer (with compatible software) via the i.LINK (IEEE 1394) interface in real time for computer editing of your analog footage. This Digital Handycam uses 14 bit processing for improved analog to digital conversion, saving your old analog videos to digital format.

Sony Handycam DCR - VX2000 3 ccd Pro camcorder
Sony's DCR-vx2000 is an outstanding 3ccd camera that delivers crisp detail & rich vivid color. I import footage from thses camera into hd projects in Adobe Prem.pro, & you would never know it was not shot with an hd camera. Originally compared to Canon xl-2, I find these units to deliver far more detail & color. I am currently using two of these in a dual camera 3-D rig & getting great results. When burned to Blu-ray it produces amazing 3D, & I still love the firewire transfer metheod far more than sd disks & all that funky compression used on most of todays HD cameras. Five Star Performance.

Take the Alien Adventure, but do it on a BIG screen

& nice 'out of screen effects as well. However, it too was produced for IMAX, & really suffers on a small screen. I was never a fan of the old shutter glasses used on the old CRT tvs because of the annoying flicker, but if you have a 3D DLP Projector or a large screen 3D tv I think you will enjoy this (if you like amusement park type 3D rides) but only if you have a 3D DLP Projector or a BIG screen 3D ready TV, otherwise much of the action looks small and distant.
If you have a 3DTV, you may want to check out the new offical release of
JAWS 3D released on dvd in SENSIO (half frame) 3D. This works great on the new 3D tvs. The film may be corny, but the 3D effects are amazing.
