Good choice for a 1st time Android phone or a backup phone
A good upgrade from the LG Optimus V. Easy for me to type on accurately and reasonably fast. And far less prone to crash than the V. It may only have Gingerbread OS, but the phone is a far better and more reliable phone than my brand new Samsung Galaxy Centura, on Straight Talk. I'm constantly having to retype things on the Centura. And it's often slow to load apps. Granted the Optimus Elite cost twice as much, but the technology and specs on the Centura should make it a better phone than the Optimus Elite, but I'd rather have this used LG, over my new Samsung.

The Last Compact Camera to Shoot in Camera RAW
This is very fine quality compact camera, with a solid build. The is the last of the compact cameras to be made, that had the option of shooting pictures in camera RAW, rather than just jpg or tiff. You now have to buy an SLR camera if you want to shoot in RAW. Camera RAW is important for those people who absolutely need to maintain the highest quality images for publication or archiving usage. This is because there isn't any image compression with RAW, as there is in jpg or tiff. And every time a file is compressed, there is always the possibility of data loss. My previous camera was the Canon PowerShot S50, a 5 megapixel camera. Changes since the S50: higher megapixel sensor; layout of the navigational controls; fixed the problem with the lens cover coming loose. There is one change that I don't like about this model is that Canon put the tripod mount off center. Because I can't get the camera mounted very tight on my copy stand, the weight of the camera tends to loosen itself, the longer I shoot. The centered mount was better on the S50 as it was balanced. I'm assuming this was changed to make room for changes inside of the camera. This isn't a deal breaker for me, just something you should know if you use a tripod or copystand. The LCD is very bright and large. I think Canon may have corrected the flash which used to be too powerful when taking portraits indoors. I haven't taken many of these types of photographs yet, but they seem more balanced now. You can make panoramic pictures with the included PhotoStitch software. Takes decent movie clips. Overall, I've been very happy with this pro quality compact camera.
