The second of the Enzo McLeod series by Pete May
If you are interested in food, wine and France you will enjoy this book. It will help if you have read the first in the series, "Extraordinary People", as May refers to events and people from that story. The central character is a likeable forensic scientist whose personal life is complicated and becomes more so as the story progresses. You'll probably empathise with Enzo and perhaps want to read the other books which feature him. The French setting is well drawn as May is a French citizen although Scottish by birth as is his protagonist.

Ingenious!
An interesting early Val McDermid novel. Moves between California & London. It provides an interesting insight into the publishing industry. Also a sympathetic portrayal of lesbian relationships.

Great sequel to “The Dry”.
The second of the Aaron Falk series (after “The Dry”). He’s still on the track of financial cheats but gets caught up in a corporate “bonding” exercise that goes seriously wrong. An enjoyable and gripping read.
