Waste of money.
Bought this item for a cheese board for Christmas. First cut of a slice of cheddar and the mouse pinged off and the wire snapped. Binned it immediately and went back to a knife. Waste of time and money.

OK for what it was for
I think i came at this camera with a bias, being a user of a pro nikon, this camera was a gift for a 10 year old so i didn't want anything too fancy in case the novelty wears off.
Pros - takes a reasonably good shot bearing in mind the number of megapixels.
Good range of features and easy to use, a good starter camera. Nikkor lenses being very good and sharp it has the ability to take good pictures.
Cons-The focusing is not entirely accurate, what you see in the viewfinder is not what appears when the shutter is depressed, auto focus motor is very noisy and the focusing is very searchy and fickle.
On the whole, i am sure it will be a good camera and fit for purpose.
